Graduating CEWA students recognised for excellence in 2021

CEWA students in the Year 12 class of 2021 earned recognition for outstanding achievement with over 900 of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s highest awards for the year. 

Ten students achieved General Exhibitions, meaning they were among the fifty students with the highest WACE scores in the state.

The sole General Exhibition (ATSI), for the highest WACE score achieved by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student, also went to CEWA student, Flynn Bailey, from Lumen Christi College. 

Six Subject Exhibitions earned by CEWA students for the highest examination mark for a Year 12 ATAR course included French: Second Language, Italian: Second Language, Religion and Life, Dance, Applied Information Technology, and Mathematics Specialist.

Two VET Exhibitions awarded to CEWA students for the most outstanding performance in a VET Certificate II or higher included Construction Industries; and Community Services, Health and Education. 

In addition to Exhibition awards, CEWA students received 52 Subject Certificates of Excellence, 12 VET Certificates of Excellence, 280 Certificates of Distinction and 547 Certificates of Merit. 

“CEWA schools aim to support every student to achieve their personal best and I congratulate each student in the class of 2021 for their efforts and achievements, ‘ said CEWA Director of Teaching and Learning, Mandy Connor.

“Among these students were individuals who, through hard work and dedication in their studies, and with the support of their families and teachers, have achieved results among the top students in WA,” she said.

“They have been recognised with SCSA Exhibitions and Awards and should be exceptionally proud of their efforts,

“I wish 2021 Year 12 CEWA students all the best as they embark on the next stage of their journey.
