Nominations open for 7 News Young Achiever Awards and CEWA Leadership category

14 December 2021

Catholic Education Western Australia is pleased to partner with the 7 News Young Achiever Awards for the 2021/2022 program, which will once again include the CEWA Young Leadership Award category, and the CEWA People’s Choice Award.

Nominations are open until Friday, 17 January, for people 29 years of age and under, across eight categories.

CEWA has been a part of the Young Achiever Awards since 2015, helping to profile outstanding leadership by young people in WA through the program.

Past winners of the CEWA Young Leadership Award have established mental health education programs, worked in early years education, campaigned against domestic violence, contributed to the formation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart, have advocated for human rights and Indigenous peoples’ rights internationally, and have been recognised for excellence in youth work.

The CEWA Young Leadership Award acknowledges young achievers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership within their schools, organisations, businesses and communities.

In previous years, CEWA students and alumni have also been finalists in other categories of the program.

If you would like to nominate a young achiever you know, head to the 7 News Young Achiever Awards website.
