Catalysts for Transformation: ATA Conference 2017

09 May 2017

Catholic Education Western Australia and the Aboriginal Education Team invite Aboriginal Teaching Assistants to attend the forthcoming Catalysts for Transformation: ATA Conference from 7-9 June, 2017 to be held at the University of Notre Dame in Broome.

Catalysts for Transformation will focus on the Strategic Direction of Catholic Education in Western Australia, empowering ATA’s with current Aboriginal Education system knowledge and an opportunity to network with colleagues across the state.  Topics planned include:

  • Transforming Lives: Strategy 2025
  • LEADing Lights; Leadership
  • ATA guidelines
  • Aboriginal Education school improvement as related to our classrooms and our communities.

The Conference will cater for 100 delegates across all dioceses.  With limited numbers, we encourage ATAs to complete the application form which will need to be endorsed by your Principal and your regional Aboriginal Education Team Consultant.

Conference participants will be selected according to their level of involvement, commitment to their school, community and professional development.

Approved applications will have their travel costs to Broome, accommodation and meals covered by CEWA.

Catholic Education Western Australia recognises and celebrates the important role of ATAs, and we encourage you to apply and be part of Catalysts for Transformation.

If you have any queries you can contact the Aboriginal Education Team Consultant in your diocese.  For details regarding the Conference, please email Vynka.malone@cewa.edu.au.
