Kids Sleep Rough to Raise Funds for the Homeless

12 June 2018

Xavier Catholic School recently had a Homeless SleepOut to raise money for LifeLink.

The director of crisis service The Shopfront, Damian Walsh, spoke to the children about what it is like working on the front lines with the homeless.

Watching some videos, reflecting on what it must feel like to be homeless, writing prayers and eating just a small bowl of rice for dinner were some of the activities undertaken before bedding down on cardboard boxes to try to understand the plight of people who have no home to call their own.

The school put together a video about the evening which can be viewed here.
