Kimberley Calling: Are you being called to a transformative teaching and learning opportunity?

03 August 2021

CEWA are seeking teachers who are open to the experience of learning, living and serving in the Catholic school communities of the Kimberley, who will inspire and engage each student through the provision of a quality Catholic education.

Kimberley Calling is a unique opportunity for early childhood, primary, and secondary trained teachers to deliver flexible and innovative educational programs to students in remote areas, ensuring they have access to high quality education and improved outcomes.

There are thirteen Catholic schools in the Diocese of Broome, which covers WA’s northern Kimberley region. These school communities are situated in culturally and environmentally rich environments that promote strong professional growth, two-way learning and opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the languages and cultures of First Nations people. They are places where teachers can make a significant difference in the lives of students through the provision of a quality Catholic education.

High quality professional learning and increased opportunities for leadership in a range of areas, as well as day-to-day immersion in community life, enhance educators’ ability to be culturally responsive and innovative in adapting flexibly to the learning needs and contexts of students.

Attractive conditions of employment accompany full-time teaching positions, including relocation costs, rental and air conditioning subsidies, yearly flights and financial incentives.

Two information sessions on this truly unique and rewarding professional experience will be held at the Catholic Education Centre in Leederville in August:

Thursday 19th August, 4.30 – 6.30pm

Saturday 21st August, 10.00am -12.00pm

Catholic Education Centre

50 Ruislip Street, Leederville

If you would like to attend, please register online.

More information on working in Kimberley Catholic schools can found on the CEWA website.
