LEAD Awards for Excellence 2017

02 May 2017

Applications are now open for the ‘LEAD Awards for Excellence’ for 2017.

As we continue to embed the Strategic Direction of LEAD throughout our system, it is important that we acknowledge and celebrate the hard work that occurs every day within our schools to apply and exemplify the four components of LEAD.

LEAD is defined most simply in the following terms:

  • Learning is what we do – We are committed to learning at every level.
  • Engagement is essential – We are committed to Catholic Education’s mission through relationships with all.
  • Accountability is not optional – We have personal and collective responsibility for our system’s success.
  • Discipleship is our calling – We are committed to deepening our relationship with Jesus.

In 2016, we saw some exciting and innovative projects with the Awards recognising seven schools for their efforts in STEM learning and teaching, mental health, faith and community initiatives.

CEWA encourages you and your staff to apply and support the LEAD Awards in 2017. The Awards provide us with a fantastic vehicle to share success stories with colleagues across our system.

Submissions close on Friday, 30 June and winners will be announced at the annual Catholic School Staff Breakfast on Tuesday, 8 August 2017.

For full details of the application process visit the website.

We look forward to hearing about the many innovative projects and initiatives that are currently taking place throughout our state and system.
