Loreto staff give back to community at well-being day

31 August 2017

On Monday 17 July, the staff at Loreto Nedlands reached out to others in the community by using their staff well-being day to volunteer at various charities and aged care facilities throughout Perth.

Spilt into three groups, the staff visited residents at both Emmaus Community in Queens Park and Alfred Carson Aged Care in Claremont and sorted clothes at St Vincent De Paul in Cannington.

“All of the groups found the experience very rewarding and gratifying,” said Deputy Principal Anthony Corbett.

“Loreto Nedlands shares a common partnership with all these institutions so our working bonds grew stronger through this Christian service event,” he said.

The day was topped off with an ‘Amazing Race’ event held in and around Kings Park, where many laughs were had by all involved.

Staff wellness and giving back through charitable works is of significant importance to the staff of Loreto Nedlands and is the foundation of the Mary Ward charism.
