MCC Basketball team takes out 2017 Championship

Worthy congratulations to the Mandurah Catholic College First V Girls’ Basketball team, who took out the 2017 WA Schoolgirls’ Basketball Championship, having been undefeated throughout the competition!

In an incredible display of skill and determination, the team defeated Kingsway Christian College by 20 points in the grand final held at Basketball WA on Tuesday 27 June 2017.

Coach Brendan McDonald lead the girls with his knowledge and expertise. The passion and hard work of school leaders to support students in achieving such amazing athletic results is commendable.

Year 11 student, Georgia Adams (pictured, far right) was named Most Valuable Player in the grand final.

Congratulations to the team: Georgia Adams, Jaide Britton, Ella Sigley, Paige Thomas, Olivia Bassett-Scarfe, Kameron Bazzo, Grace Lawler, Ami Le Gresley, Kloe Phillips-Jones, Casey Hayes and Kirsty Scarle (captain).
