Pope’s app connects world through prayer

25 January 2019

Pope Francis has released an app that connects your prayer with the world.

Available in six languages, Click to Pray presents three brief messages each day addressing challenges facing humanity, and praying for the mission of the Church, as the Pope proposes in his monthly prayer intentions.

There are new prayers for every day of the year. App users can create a profile and set the times they would like to receive their prayers, inspirational thoughts and daily review.

The app allows users to offer prayers and intentions for others to pray along with, press a button to register their prayers, and see how many others have prayed around the world with the aid of the app.

A Vatican statement said Click to Pray would allow the faithful to “accompany the Pope in a mission of compassion for the world”.

The app is available for mobiles and tablets from the App Store or Google Play, and prayers can be accessed at www.clicktopray.org.
