Meditation in the classroom and in daily life for
staff and students K-12

You are invited to attend a professional learning event for an introduction to Christian meditation with Mr Ernie Christie, Director of Learning Teaching and Catholic Identity in the Townsville Diocese.

James Nestor Hall, CEWA
Thursday 3 or Friday 4 August 2017
9.00am – 4.00pm

Archbishop Costelloe SDB spoke in January about bringing Christian meditation into Catholic schools in his diocese.

“We’re trying to help our young people develop that capacity for reflection and just to be able to slow down and think about some of the deeper issues.”

Ernie Christie has worked with many schools and communities both in Australia and overseas to introduce Christian meditation, and has assisted the Townsville Diocese in successfully doing so in all their schools.

He uses the Coming Home resource based on the tradition of meditation taught by the late Benedictine monk John Main OSB and practised by The World Community for Christian Meditation.
