Reflection on the Gospel
Matthew 17:1-9
Jesus is the bridge between humanity and God. He is also God’s messenger: “Listen to him”. He is the law and prophecy fulfilled for all the peoples.
God also comes as a bright light to stress that Jesus is who he says he is: his beloved Son. All should listen to him.
Deepening my covenant with God
Take time to revisit the relationship you have with God. Do you need to forgive, say sorry to others, and forgive yourself as God forgives you?
Prayer
Lord, teach us to do your will.
Help us to see the reality of your Son,
Keep us from sin, and help us to live
by the commandments of love.
Amen.
