Seton Catholic College has been recognised as a Microsoft Showcase School, placing the College among an elite group of schools worldwide driving digital transformation in education.

This prestigious designation highlights the College’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, ensuring students are well-prepared for the rapidly evolving future.

Owen Neal, Deputy of Teaching and Learning, spoke to the significance of the achievement:

“This recognition is not just about our use of technology, but about Seton being a leading school across all areas of the Microsoft Education Transformation Framework.

“It highlights our strengths in leadership and policy, intelligent environments, teaching and learning, and student and school success. Our focus has always been on preparing students for the future, and this milestone confirms that we’re excelling in every aspect of that mission.”

The Microsoft Showcase School program highlights schools committed to innovative uses of technology in education, preparing students for future challenges. Seton Catholic College is now part of a global network of educators, enabling collaboration and the sharing of best practices with leading schools worldwide.

Dr Alistair White, Head of Technology and Innovation, reflected on the benefits:

“Access to a global community of educators is a game-changer for us. It allows our staff to exchange ideas and stay ahead in integrating technology into the classroom, strengthening the learning experiences we offer our students.”

“From our innovative teachers to our engaged students, it’s a shared goal of excellence in education that brought us here.”

Principal Chris Wallace, Seton Catholic College

Principal Chris Wallace expressed his pride in the school’s collective efforts:

“This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire school community. From our innovative teachers to our engaged students, it’s a shared goal of excellence in education that brought us here.”

A key element of this recognition is the remarkable work of Seton’s staff, with nine educators named Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts—the highest number for any school in Western Australia. These educators (Michael Brook, Cat Jack, Alana Lawrence, Cassie Naden, Owen Neal, Camlin Quin, Peter Vojkovic, Grant Watton, and Alistair White) are leaders in their field, using technology in creative ways to enhance learning.

“As we celebrate this significant milestone, our commitment to delivering a high-quality, future-focused education remains stronger than ever.

“With the ongoing support of our community, we are excited to embrace new opportunities for innovation and continue striving for excellence in everything we do,” Mr Wallace added.
