VET 2023 – Steve Tluangeh (Aranmore Catholic College graduate) Success Story

Burmese refugee Steve Tluangneh’s role as head technician at Mirrabooka Mechanical & Tyre is proof that with passion and hard work, anything is possible.

Backed by support from his Vocation Education and Training  (VET) Coordinator, Steve took up VET Vert II in Automotive Technology in Year’s 11 and 12 as part of an ONSITE program. For 2 years, he worked at a car dealership and attended TAFE when he was not schooling.

Steve’s hard work paid off. In 2020 he became a fully qualified Automotive Technician and today his tasks include vehicle pit inspections, air conditioning, vehicle restoration and mentoring fellow colleagues.

Wishing Mitch all the best in his endeavours!
