Congratulations to the CEWA WA Young Leadership Award 2017 winner – Jennifer Edwards!

Jennifer Edwards has been announced as the winner of the prestigious Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) Young Leadership Award within the 2017 Western Australian Young Achiever Awards. Jennifer was announced as the winner from a strong field of nominees, along with seven other category winners, at a Gala event on Friday 12 May at the Pan Pacific Perth.

Jennifer’s passion for improving early childhood and education outcomes impressed the judges, with her roles in the Rangeway Child and Parent Care Centre, the Midwest early Years Network and the “Volleyball Against Violence” event just a few examples of her exemplary passion for education.

500 guests attended to celebrate the finalists and winners, including official guest, The Honourable Peter Tinley AM MLA, Minister for Housing; Veterans Issues and Youth, representing The Honourable Mark McGowan MLA, Premier of Western Australia.

Pavitra Aran was announced as the 2017 Western Australian Young Achiever of the Year.

The awards have been running since 2016, and recognise the incredible leadership, dedication and pursuit of excellence amongst young people throughout Western Australia.
