Aranmore students take top spot at Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas
03 August 2017
Two Aranmore Catholic College students have returned from the Bahamas after competing in the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games as a part of the Youth Sevens team from 19 to 23 July.
The team returned victorious after they took out first place in the Games, having trained for four months in preparation for the trip.
Langley Sesega and Kennedy Cherrington both dedicated themselves to training in the months leading up to the Games, ensuring their skills and fitness were at their peak for the challenge. Their hard work and dedication to the sport has certainly paid off with such an incredible result. Congratulations to both girls on behalf of the CEWA community!
Both Langley and Kennedy are a part of Aranmore’s rugby program that offers a range of opportunities in the development of skills, game knowledge and strength and conditioning.
