MCC student awarded Fr James Wall Bursary Award

Mandurah Catholic College student, Jamie-Anne Madigan has been awarded the Father James Wall Bursary Award.

The $4,000 bursary award is presented to Year 10 Catholic secondary school students who demonstrate leadership potential in a range of areas, including science, arts, public speaking, sporting activities, community service and social justice activities.

The Catholic Development Fund in conjunction with the Catholic Education offices of Bunbury, Melbourne, Sale and Edmund Rice Education Australia, received the applications late last year and selected seven students, including Jamie-Anne who is Bunbury’s only and very first winner of the award.

Jamie-Anne, a keen sportswoman and high academic achiever is currently undertaking her year 11 studies at Mandurah Catholic College and is involved in a number of school and extra-curricular activities including the Social Justice Committee, UWA Aspire Program, Environmental Cruise and State AFL academy.

The bursary will assist with school fees and expenses incurred by the successful students while undertaking Year 11 and Year 12.
