LifeLink Day 2018: Secondary school launch

04 April 2018

The first LifeLink day of 2018 was held last Tuesday 20 March at Aranmore Catholic College. 25 secondary Catholic schools were present and a total of 230 guests attended, including students, teachers, principals and special guests.

Established by the Archdiocese of Perth in 1994, LifeLink works to provide ongoing financial and promotional support of agencies established or assisted by the Church. LifeLink’s agencies deliver professional services and caring support to thousands of people in need throughout WA each year.

The morning began with addresses from The Most Rev Timothy Costelloe SDB, Archbishop of Perth, The Most Rev Donald G Sproxton, Auxiliary Bishop of Perth, and Ms Diana Alteri, Team Leader, Religious Education and Faith Formation Team, who represented Catholic Education Western Australia’s Acting Executive Director Dr Debra Sayce. Following morning tea, the panel engaged with students through a question and answer session allowing them to get valued feedback and share ideas about maximising LifeLink within the community.

The Launch of LifeLink Day 2018 for primary schools within the Archdiocese of Perth will take place in June. Further details to follow.
