Clontarf Aboriginal College in Waterford will be adding eco-friendly power technology to their boarding facilities this year, with the addition of a new generator. 

Clontarf Principal Troy Hayter attended the recent launch of Generac gas generators to accept a donated generator for the College from Brian Sell, Generac General Manager for Australia. 

Mr Hayter, representatives from Generac and local partner Solar My World, as well as Catholic Education Western Australia Capital Development Coordinator, Victor De Vicente Ferrandez, spoke about the current challenges Clontarf faces with electricity supply to its boarding facilities, as well as the educational potential the new generator held for students to engage in learning about sustainability and power generation. 

After the announcement of the donation to Clontarf, industry guests at the event were able to see a demonstration of a smaller version of the 3-phase generator the College will receive, which is due to arrive in Australia in September.
