CEWA schools ‘Go Live’ with AoS
05 July 2019
As part of CEWA’s LEADing Lights digital transformation, schools have begun to migrate to a more advanced and comprehensive administration system.
Administration of Schools, or AoS as it is more commonly known, has been developed in-house, specifically for CEWA’s 162 schools and colleges.
Where previously each administrative task required suites of different software to maintain, AoS unites these into one central management system which simplifies finance, student and school management.
AoS is being rolled out to all CEWA primary schools by June 2020, with 16 already on board after the 12-week deployment process.
Secondary schools are expected to transfer to AoS in 2020.
CEWA’s AoS Product Manager Dympna Forte said deployment was progressing well and feedback had been positive and constructive.
She said her team operated a fortnightly deployment and improvement cycle to adapt processes and apply lessons learnt to ensure continuous growth and refinement.
“We have an extremely rigorous validation and go–live process,” Ms Forte said.
“We also use best–practice to ensure data integrity which is vitally important to schools.”
Ms Forte said her team had developed an online training centre and used Microsoft tools including Planner to help schools with the migration.
In addition, AoS has an integrated support model and will receive ongoing investment from CEWA to improve and develop over time.
