Learning about new life with Sacred Heart Kindy

07 April 2020

Kindy students at Sacred Heart Primary School in Mundaring participated in some great activities recently to learn about new life in the lead up to Easter.

The children listened to the creation story, and learned a song called ‘Pitter Patter’, relating to thanking God for creation and creativity.

The classic story The Very Hungry Caterpillar was also part of their learning, with counting and ordering, cutting and gluing, creating cocoons and butterflies, and recalling the story.

There was also the opportunity to learn about life cycles and new life through caring for young chicks, and time to create artwork celebrating the Easter story and God’s love.
