Project Compassion Launch – Save the Date

25 October 2019

WA Catholic Education schools have been invited to take part in Caritas Australia’s launch of Project Compassion 2020.

The launch, earmarked to feature student representatives from years 6-12, includes the celebration of Mass and a Just Leadership workshop supporting Caritas Australia’s mission to end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.

Shrove Tuesday, February 25, has been set down for the official launch, with Sorrento’s Sacred Heart College the host school.

In a memo to principals, Caritas Australia Justice Educator Nathan Leber said:

“We seek to present a highly engaging launch that will inspire our young people to continue to seek knowledge and understand the ways awareness can be raised to support the poor and marginalised in the communities that Caritas serves.

Formal invitations to schools will be sent out this term, but schools are encouraged to ‘save the date’ for students and staff to attend.
