St. Bernard’s students raised $3,000 for Wheelchairs for Kids!

03 August 2017

Well done to St Bernard’s Catholic Primary School students and the Kojonup community who raised over $3,000 for Wheelchairs for Kids (WFK) with a ‘lap-a-thon’ on Tuesday 20 June 2017.

Run by Brother Ollie Pickett, WFK is financed through donations and runs solely through the work of volunteers who manufacture and distribute wheelchairs for disabled children in under-resourced countries.

The school hosted a lap-a-thon event on 20 June, where students, family and friends came together to run or walk as many laps of the oval as they could in 30 minutes.

The funds raised will cover the cost of 15 wheelchairs – what an amazing effort!

Well done to everyone from St Bernard’s and the Kojonup community for joining together in the spirit of giving for such an important cause.
